Saskatchewan Express set to perform the best of 25 years on December 3

On December 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the Tommy Douglas Centre, the well known musical revue known as Saskatchewan Express is set to hit the stage.

On December 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the Tommy Douglas Centre, the well known musical revue known as Saskatchewan Express is set to hit the stage. This will be one of the earlier performances of the group as it celebrates the 25th anniversary of the annual December production. The express will have already hit the stage in Moose Jaw and will head to Regina and Saskatoon after the performance in Weyburn.

The theme "Silver Snowfallies" will feature the very best music from the past 25 years of winter shows. It will include the works of such legends as Irving Berlin, Rodgers and Hart, The Gershwins and Cole Porter along with music from Broadway blockbusters such as Jersey Boys and Hairspray.

Carol Bell, founded what is now known as the Saskatchewan Express in 1980 and followed many years later in 1997, developing the Saskatchewan Musical Express in Regina in 1997 and 2000 in Saskatoon.

Silver Snowfallies is written and directed by Carol Gay Bell. Kaitlyn Semple is the acting vocal director for the performance and choreographer, Megan Alfano works alongside the team. The cast includes eight members, four gentleman and four ladies. The show is sure to delight a wide range of audiences and instill Christmas spirit in all who attend.

Saskatchewan Express has included a few talented kids from Weyburn and area in the cast over the years including Wes Meek from Weyburn and Sonya Erb from Yellow Grass.
