The Weyburn Southern Range Gold Wings are heading into Game 4 of the final against the Regina Rebels on Saturday, March 29 at Crescent Point Place with the game going at 7:30 p.m.
At press time, the series was tied at one, with the third game being played March 27 in Regina. The results were not known at the time of publication.
Head Coach Chad Kish said the final is playing out exactly how he had expected it to.
"This is a good series. It's hard. This is the best thing for the girls. They get to see what it takes, experience defeat, re-boot and carry on," said Kish.
In the first game of the match up, the Gold Wings defeated the Rebels on their ice 2-1.
The Gold Wings Jenica Whitrow scored on a power play from Bailee Bourassa in the first period and Bourassa banking the second goal off the sticks of Whitrow and Cassidy Pirlot.
Gold Wings netminder Jane Kish only allowed one goal against.
At home on March 25, the Gold Wings dropped 2-0 to the Rebels.
"It's really exciting for us to be in the finals. It's great for the girls to experience this kind of pressure," said Kish.
