The Weyburn Red Wings fell 5-2 to the visiting Kindersley Klippers on February 16 at Crescent Point Place.

Head Coach Bryce Thoma said the Wings came out flat in and picked up the pace in the second and third period.

The Wings were down 4-0 going into the third period.

Braden Mellon started the scoring in the third period off the sticks of Shain Scheschuk and Brendan McKay.

Brian Farkas scored the second goal on a power play for the Wings with assists to Ty McLean and Cody Pettapiece.

"It may have been a different story had we played hard in the first period," said Thoma.

On February 15 in Melville, the Wings fell 5-2 to the moneymen.

Donavon Lumb was first to find the back of the Millionaires net from Brian Farkas and Nick Pouliot at the 11:15 mark of the first period.

"Melville has a good team and we made some mistakes we couldn't get out of," said Thoma. "I give Melville credit, they played well."

Earlier last week, the Wings met the Klippers on home ice. The Wings won 3-2.

"We played well from start to finish," said Thoma.

"We want to play well down the stretch," said Thoma. "We're three points up on the 11th place team. We want to win some games and force Flin Flon."
