During the month of March, the Weyburn Duplicate Bridge has played on Mondays and Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. at the Wheatland Senior Centre.

With five tables playing on March 5, Warren Betker and Keith Eichel started the month with a strong first place finish, Lydia Milleker and Lucie Nickel came in second, and there was a tie for third between four partnerships of Erskine and Mildred Sandiford, Jim Brown and Jean Knibbs, Barry Mactaggart and Diane Bell and John Whitell and Chuck Widdis.

Three and a half tables played on March 7 with Jim Brown and John Whitell taking top honours followed by Diane Bell and Lloyd Muma in second and Carmen Villness and Chuck Widdis in third.

On March 12, with three tables playing, Barry Mactaggart and Gord Bell placed first and John Whitell and Margarette Bangsund took second.

March 14 also had three tables in play and there was a three-way tie for first between Barry Mactaggart and Lucie Nickel, Margarette Bangsund and Andy Dumba and Keith Eichel and Doyle Thomas.

With three tables in play on March 19, there was a tie for first between Marion Brown and Anne Balzer and Jim Brown and Andy Dumba. Barry Mactaggart and Gord Bell followed with the second best score.

Wednesday, March 21 was the ACBL nation-wide charity championship game. There were three and a half tables in play with Barry Mactaggart and Keith Eichel finishing in first place, Diane and Gord Bell placing second and Roy Wallin and George Gilles taking third place.

Three tables played on the quarterly Monday Night Club Championship game on March 26 and taking first place were Gord Bell and Barry Mactaggart, followed by Roy Wallin and John Whitell in second.

The Wednesday Night Club Championship game was held on March 28 with two and a half tables playing and once again, Gord Bell and Barry Mactaggart took top honours while Margarette Bangsund and George Gilles placed second.
