The Weyburn Police Service have recovered power tools along with some hand tools in a stolen vehicle and would the public's help in identifying them so they could be returned to the rightful owners.
The tools are believed to have been taken in December 2013 from a vehicle or garage in and around the Weyburn area. Anyone missing any tools is asked to contact the Weyburn Police Service.
A 24-year-old male will appear in court later this month after police charged him with assault causing bodily harm following a fight at a local bar. The fight happened March 29 at a local bar. Police say the 24-year-old struck a 20-year-old male in the face with a bottle. The injured party was taken to hospital for stitches.
Police responded to a fight at a local drinking establishment and upon arrival, removed one of the people causing problems from the bar. The other individual was never identified. No charges were laid.
Police received a report on March 25 of items being stolen out of a commercial property yard. Stolen were a computer and printer. Police are still investigating and are following up several leads to this theft.
Police were called to a local hotel for a report of a loud party on March 23, police spoke with a male subject and party was shut down. Police would like to remind people that they could be charged under the noise by-law when a complaint comes into Police. Fines can range from $250 to a $1000 fine or a court appearance.
Also on March 23 police responded to a domestic dispute at a residence in the north part of the city, upon arrival it was found that a female had thrown boiling water on another adult male. The 26-year-old female was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon she will appear in court April 15.
Police responded to an accident on 18th Street on March 23. A female became distracted while driving and struck a parked vehicle on the street. There were no injuries but the female's vehicle had to be towed and she was charged with driving with undue care and attention.
