Silver Seals host provincials/Tyler Grieve takes top honors

The Weyburn Silver Seals Swim Club hosted the Summer Speed Swimming Provincials on Saturday, July 26 and Sunday July 27 at the Weyburn Leisure Centre. The club brought home 27 medals including 10 gold medals.

The Weyburn Silver Seals Swim Club hosted the Summer Speed Swimming Provincials on Saturday, July 26 and Sunday July 27 at the Weyburn Leisure Centre.

The club brought home 27 medals including 10 gold medals.

Marley Kradovill, Girls 7/8, received gold in the 25 butterfly and gold in the 50 butterfly.

McKinley Thomas Perry, Girls 9/10, won silver in the 100 backstroke, silver in the 50 butterfly, bronze in the 100 breaststroke and bronze in the 100 individual medley.

Kara Zelyck, Girls 9/10, was awarded bronze in the 100 backstroke.

Emma Bitz, Girls 11/12, received gold in the 50 breaststroke, silver in the100 breaststroke, silver in the 50 freestyle and bronze in the 50 backstroke.

Olivia Barber, Girls 11/12, won gold in the 100 backstroke.

Khloe Bedore, Girls 11/12, won silver for 25 butterfly

Tristyn Lautner(coach), Girls 18+, was awarded silver in the 100 breaststroke.

Tre' Thompson, Boys 9/10, received bronze in the 50 backstroke and bronze in the 50 butterfly.

Nicholas Mass, Boys 11/12, won silver in the 100 backstroke and bronze in the 50 freestyle.

Tyler Grieve, Boys 13/14, was awarded gold in the 100 breaststroke, gold in the 200 freestyle, gold in the 200 breaststroke, gold in the 50 freestyle and gold in the 200 individual medley.

Dakken Bedore, Boys 15/17, received gold in the 100 breaststroke, silver in the 200 breaststroke, silver in the 50 freestyle and bronze in the 200 freestyle.

In the Boys 13/14 age group, Tyler Grieve received provincial individual high point awards.

There were more than 150 swimmers from 16 Saskatchewan communities competing in 64 events over the two days.
