Football player to play in World Cup in China

Logan Mainil, seven other Saskatchewan players and other players from Canada will be representing the nation in the under-19 Team Canada in Harbin, China.
Team Canada will compete in the 2016 International Federation of American Football (IFAF) U19 World Championship.
Canada’s entry has retained a core group of players from its under-18 and under-19 national teams, which competed against Team USA at the International Bowl series in Arlington, Texas.
Team Canada arrived in China on June 22 and held their training camp in preparation for their opening game against Mexico on June 30. They will then play on July 3, July 7 and July 9 or 10, depending on game results. The championship has a double-eleimination format.
Mainil recently completed his first season as a linebacker with the University of Saskatchewan Huskies football team.
