The City of Weyburn issued nearly double the amount of building permits this year to date than over the same period last year.
Issuing a total of 12 building permits in the month of April, one was for a new contractor shop, three were for residential additions or alterations, three permits were issued for new detached garages and five permits were issued for new residential detached dwelling units for a total construction value of just under $2 million.
Year to date, the City of Weyburn has issued a total of 39 building permits with a total construction value of just under $8 million.
Year to date, April of 2013, the City of Weyburn issued 20 building permits with a total construction value of just over $11 million.
