During July and August, the Weyburn Duplicate Bridge Club met once a week on Monday evenings, but starting in September, the club will resume playing on Thursday afternoons at 1 p.m. as well as on Monday evenings at 7 p.m. at the Wheatland Senior Centre. All bridge players are welcome. If anyone is interested in taking duplicate bridge lessons, contact 306-842-7633.

On July 14 with four tables playing, Fred and Lydia Milleker placed first, Jim Brown and George Gillies finished second, and Fran Franks and Andy Dumba were third.

Three tables played on July 21 and Diane Bell and Barry Mactaggart were first, followed by Gord Bell and Marg Stewart in second.

July 28 had four tables and Jim Brown and George Gillies had a strong game placing first, Isabelle Butters and Marg Stewart placed second, while Diane Bell and Barry Mactaggart came third.

August 4 had three tables and top honours went to Jim Brown and George Gillies, and second place went to Gord Bell and Jim Kaz.

With three tables playing on August 11, there was a tie for first between Barry Mactaggart and Marg Stewart, and Jim Brown and George Gillies.

August 18 had three and a half tables that played and Diane Bell and Barry Mactaggart were strong first place finishers playing at 76 per cent, Jim Brown and George Gillies placed second, and Gord Bell and Jim Kaz were third.

On August 25 there were four tables and Isabelle Butters and Marg Stewart claimed first, second place finishers were Barry Mactaggart and Gord Bell, and third place went to Lydia Milleker and Lucie Nickel.
