Weyburn Police Services responded to a fight at a local bar on April 27, however, due to the large number of patrons, police were unable to identify who had been in the fight. A 26-year-old male was taken to hospital for stitches. Two males, aged 21 and 22, were removed from the bar. No charges were laid.
Police took a statement on April 27 from a 29-year-old female regarding an assault on her by her boyfriend. Police are investigating the incident.
On April 26, police attended a local business regarding damage done to the building. Culprit(s) threw a piece of cement through a window. Police are investigating the mischief.
Police responded to a disturbance at an apartment building on April 26, where two individuals who were living together had a dispute and a 19-year-old male decided to move out. Officers remained at the apartment while the male removed his belongings.
RCMP officers arrested and charged a male for drive while over .08 on April 25. All of the individuals from his vehicle were incapable of driving. Following the males release they returned to their vehicle and drove away. A Weyburn Police Service officer stopped the vehicle. A 24 year-old-female was read the alcotest demand; she provided a sample and was subsequently issued a 24-hour suspension.
Police attended to a business regarding a two vehicle accident on April 24. A car that was merging onto the highway was clipped by a semi tractor/trailer unit as it proceeded west on the highway. No one was injured in the accident and both individuals were advised to report the accident to their respective insurance company.
On April 24, police responded to a local school regarding a driving complaint. A 17-year-old male was charged for stunting in the parking lot.
An officer mediated a dispute on April 23 between a 20-year-old male and a 19-year-old female who had terminated their relationship. They were advised to have no further contact with each other and to call the police if an officer was needed to keep the peace when property was picked up.
On April 23 police received a complaint from a 32-year-old female about her neighbour, a 62-year-old male. The male was spoken to and advised to have no further contact with the female or her family.
Police responded to a local hotel on April 23 regarding drunken males in the hotel. Officers located an intoxicated 32-year-old male who had gone to the wrong establishment. A cab was called and he was taken to the correct hotel.
Police arrested two males who were fighting outside of the Weyburn Court House on April 22. A 20-year-old male was lodged in cells and charged with being drunk in public. The second individual, a 19-year-old male was taken home.
On April 21, police received a request to have a 46-year-old female committed to the Weyburn Mental Health facility. An officer attended a residence and spoke to the female, it was determined that there had been a family dispute. No further action was required.
Police received information that a 31-year-old male may be in breach of a condition on his Emergency Intervention Order on April 21. The male was located and arrested for breaching his order. He was held for court the following day.
On April 21, police received a complaint of a semi tractor/trailer unit weaving in and out of traffic on the highway heading towards Weyburn. Officers located the vehicle and spoke to the driver; he was found to be sober and was cautioned about his driving actions.
Police interviewed a mother and child regarding possible physical abuse by the father on April 21. Statements were taken and forwarded to a police service in another province where the alleged abuse had taken place.
