To Celebrate Saskatchewan Library Week this week, Weyburn author, Anne Lazurko will be reading from her new book, Dollybird, on Wednesday, October 16, at 7 p.m. at the Weyburn Public Library.

Copies of Dollybird will be available for sale and autographs.

On Thursday, October 17, from 2 - 4 p.m. there will be a come and go tea to celebrate Library Week.

Library customers can now borrow electronic magazines online at anytime provided by the Southeast Regional Library.

Finally, the Weyburn Public Library is going through prosperous times but we know that not everyone is benefiting. As such, the WPL is pleased to be working with the Salvation Army during SLA Week. During SLA week, -- from October 15 to 20 -- library customers entering the library can donate a bag of non-perishable food to the Salvation Army. In return, library customers can use that same bag to choose books from the previous week's book sale. A bag of donations for a bag of books.

"We are pleased to be working with the Salvation Army and assisting them in the fine work that they do in the city of Weyburn," said Librarian Kam Teo.
