Young offender charged with mischief in spray painting incident

Weyburn Police Services received a complaint of two youths spray painting on a building in the 400 block of Souris Avenue on April 21. Police located two youths and charged a 15-year-old female with mischief.

Police received a call April 21 regarding a two vehicle accident in the Abells Bay area. Police had drivers exchange information and proceed to SGI.

On April 20, a call was received regarding a vehicle accident on the 500 block of 6th Avenue South. A police investigation found an unknown vehicle had driven through a hedge, into a yard damaging the fence and then back through the hedge. The vehicle left the scene without contacting police or the home owner. The investigation is ongoing.

On April 19, police received a report of a theft from a vehicle. A single shot .410 shot gun was stolen from a vehicle parked on the 300 block of 6th Street. Police are continuing their investigation.

Police received a report of a person shooting squirrels on the 200 block of 6th Street. Police located and warned the suspect about the city bylaw that states the prohibition of firearms being discharged within city limits.

Police received numerous complaints of vehicles parked on the 1100 block of Bison Avenue being damaged. Investigation found unknown persons were walking down the street and damaging vehicle by hitting the mirrors. There are no suspects at this time.

On April 17, Police responded to a domestic dispute on the 100 block of 6th Street. The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.

Police received a report of a child by themselves on the 100 block of 6th Street. Upon investigation, police found a parent had dropped of a child for dance lessons and left. The parent didn't know that dance lessons had been cancelled. Police brought the child to the station and contacted the parents.
